Which tranny builder to use?
I'm going to replace the TH350 in my 72 K10 with a 700 R4. Have you guys had any experience with either the Monster Motorsports or BowTie Overdrives products? The local builders around here think the trannies are made of solid gold so I'm going to buy one over the internet so it will be affordable. Monster Motorsports is only a 1/2 hour drive from me but I've never heard of them. If you guys have any feedback to help me I will appreciate it. Thanks

I have a 700/R4 from Bowtie Overdrives. They do excellent work, and their set-up instructions and phone support are excellent. They actually WANT you to call when you're setting it up.Jack

Here's a good page to research. These guys and Yank converters build the BEST converters and trannys IMO. I and a bunch of other racers I know use their stuff with no problems. Couldn't tell ya' what their cust. svc. is like cause no one I know has ever used it.

Nobody has used Monster Motorsports Trannys?
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
