    Ford T5 question

Can someone explain the difference in a world class T5 Ford tranny and a no-world class? I'm leaning towards a T5 in my T-bucket. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Oh yeah, the motor is a 347 blown stroker.

As a further reference, I may as well tell everyone about my project and ask for any advice.

I recently bought an original 1925 Model T (In peices but mostly there) that I'm building a t-bucket from. Going against conventional wisdom, I'm going to use the original frame. I know I'll have a lot of boxing to do as well as chopping the rear and Z baring it. I also plan on adding some structure to the inside oaf the boxing. Something like webbing. While I'm working on the frame (jumping around to different areas to prevent warping) I'm thinking about widening it 2-4 inches. The reason for doing this is to widen the body, kind of like reverse sectioning. If I go that far I may as well get a few more inches in length as well. Any thoughts here?

The motor is as above with a planned T5 tranny and a coil over 9" rear. I want to have all this on hand, before I start with the frame, to have all the dimensions needed to do a good job.

I'm in the process of constructing a large oven to powder coat the frame and as much other metal (except the body) as possible. I'm not good enough to win any national shows but a few local trophies would be nice for a non-trailer queen.

Having built (or played at building) a few hot rods, this is my first endeavor into street rods.
    Thanks,
    Steve

The short answer is the non-world class units were weak and broke easily.

With the motor you planning you'll really need a latter WC unit.
