tremec 5/6 speed
i am interested in putting a tremec t56 or tko trans into a 32 hiboy roadster and would like to know if anyone could tell me where the shifter location should be, how will this trans hold up behind 400 ci with 500 ft/lbs torque, does anyone make a blowproof bellhousing, and what flywheel clutch combination would work best. also, has anyone had any experience with suppliers selling complete kits? anyone with any thoughts or experience with this?

Check out D & D Performance on the transmission. I might be wrong, but I believe that the shifter can be adjusted in relation to the tailhousing in three locations (forward, center, and rearward). These can be ordered for whatever level of strength you need.
I'm unsure about the bellhousing, but I'm sure that Lakewood would probably have something.---Tom

Gypsy, a few years back I cheated and used a hydraulic clutch and slave cylinder in a roadster. Worked great and sure made the installation a lot easier and cleaner looking. The aftermarket adjustable bellcrank and cable setup off a 5.0 Mustang might be an option to look at, too. I haven't used one, but they look like they would be a fairly simple install. Might want to check one out.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Gypsy,
With only a few posts on the site, you might not realize this, but you'll get better info by tracking down your original post on a topic rather than starting a new one with the same question.
No problem . . . just a suggestion.

I have a 500hp+ SBC with a tko-600 5 speed, thats going to go into a 30 tudor. Im using a lakewood bellhousing.
The tranny is very adaptable when it comes to positioning, and you should have no problems getting it in there.
I bought all my stuff from www.5speedtransmissions.com. I got it all within a week, and theyre extremely helpful.
Make sure your suspension and chassis can handle the torque and the added stress from the stick shift, or youll quickly have issues.
