Stall Converter question
I am thinking about installing a 2k/2.2k stall converter. I have never drivin a car with one so I am wanting to know a couple things. How does the ride differ over a stock converter, how much does it help the launch, and will the car need to be tunned diff after putting one in?
the setup is 350, bored .030 over, performer rpm intake, 2.02 heads, mild comp cam 224/ 230 @ .050", 650 edelbrock thunderseries carb, msd 6al ignition, msd pro bil distributor with blaster 2 coil. th350 trans with shift kit, matallic clutches and racing sprag/drum.

Your ride won't be any different. The engine will likely idle better when you put it in gear. If your not used to a stall you might think your tranny is slipping when you first take off and in higher gears at low speeds.
It helps your launch by getting your engine rpm's up to the power band of your cam.
You shouldn't need to change the tune of the car. Might have to lower the idle in gear if you had it higher before the stall to keep it running in gear.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
