Tremec in a street rod
Do any of you have any experience putting a tremec in a street rod? I plan on putting a 3550 behind a 351W in my '37 Ford, and have some questions.
Shifter location?
Type of Shifter?
Type of Shift Arm?Andy

Andy,
Let's attach a link to the last time you brought this up to see if anyone has something new to contribute.

It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Wow, you have a good memory!
I haven't visited the board in a while, and I remember starting that thread. I was hoping to find some new information. I haven't had much time/money to work on my car lately. Everyone knows how that goes.Andy

Here is a good article about installing a Tremec in a Chevelle. Might get some ideas from this. I imagine you could e-mail the one that wrote the article if you had some questions.

Bulldog, it seems like you can use a particular tailshaft housing from maybe an S10 pickup and put your shifter in pretty much stock posistion for a 37. George Poteet did this several years ago in a 40 cpe, it was featured in "American Rodder" magazine and I'm sure the article addressed the set-up.Joe
Merry Christmas ya'll
