Neutral Safety Switch
I've pulled the 302 and the C4 out of my ride, and discovered several - shall I say - interesting things when I was pulling things apart. I didn't drive the car much before diving in to it, so some of the things I would have realized should I have driven it a little more
The one I'm posting on has to do with the Neutral Safety Switch - which I discovered was just dangling there, not hooked up. My question is how do I integrate that in to my present wiring? Did the original Model A have a Neutral Safety Switch? THere is some sort of aftermarket wiring harness, but as with everything else, the previous owner did not document anything.
Thanks
Dave

Model A's did not have a neutral safety switch. The switch should be wired into the ignition switch so it cuts the power to the start side of the switch unless the gear selector is in Park or Neutral.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

with the c4 it should be easy to hook up the neutral safety switch. it bolts to the side if the trans all you need to do is run a ign. wire to it and then from there to your starter. back-up lights to.Mike

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
