    Tranny Questions

Ok, I'm looking to put a bullet into my elky soon...350, injected, shootin for about 325 hp or so...just something mild, I'll save wild for when gas goes down, or a get a milage car...whichever comes first.

My question about the tranny is this:

which tranny should i go with? it currently has a th350 that needs a rebuild...I have an extra 700r4 chillin in my garage...

I can do 1 of a few things...
    1) Build the th350 back to stock with a mild clutch upgrade...
    2) Build the th350 so that its bullet proof
    3) Build the 700r4 to stock with a mild clutch upgrade...
    4) Build the 700r4 with 4L65 parts to make it a bullet proof with a good low gear, and the overdrive to help me with gas milage...

Let me know what you guys think! I'm REALLY in need of advice because I can't decide...They all sound great to me!

Depends. Which do you want more? HP or milage? 700's will take 350 HP or whatever you want easily since that isn't too much at all. Then again you can't have a high hp motor and expect it to get any good gas milage no matter what tranny. If you want overdrive then build the 700 with good quality parts and put it in. That way you will have a new but not stock and more stronger tranny and not have to worry about it. 350 tranny is good if you wanted it for a street/strip car IMO. I am sure some older guys will post their oppinion that will be better than mine....

well i want a good medium between performance and economy...

I think about 350 hp, with a built 700r4 and maybe after i save my money for awhile, a nice injection system...
