It pumps fluid into the tc and it can take a lot more fluid to refill
a 700R4 and tc than you might think. I learned that the hard way, I think it took about 7 qts.

It is normal (protocol) to put a quart or two in the converter prior to installation. Do not rev the engine for a minute or so following start-up, make sure you have plenty (but not too much) oil in the tranny and crank it up. You should be fine ............
