Buick Transmission HELP!!!!
My 67 Electra has a Super Turbine 400. My question.....is that the Buicks version of the Turbo 400?? Would any run of the mill GM Turbo 400 swap out on the Electra? Ive got a Big block original 430. Will the Bell Housing of a turbo 400 fit the block of the 430?

A Chevy trans won't fit. You need a BOP tranny (Buick-Olds-Pontiac).

I maybe able to help, I have a 69 Pontaic Firebird 400 small block engine with a GM 400 Turbo transmission. I am wanting to sell the engine and trans. for what I have in it. The engine was rebuil in 2000 by a race engine shop in N.C. and has 25k miles on the engine and trans was built at the same time and are both in great running condition. You may be able to use the trans to replace yours. Contact me if you are interrested in price.CRAZY FOR 87 REGALS

Is it a Nailhead engine??? My understanding is that the bolt pattern on the Nailheads is unique, not interchangeable with the BOP trannies. You may want to check with the folks at Northwest Speed Equipment, they are really up on Buick parts interchange.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
