Turbo 400 fixed yoke
Hi guys, any help will be much appreciated. i have a 53 ford f100. recently I wedged in a cad 500 with a turbo 400 trans which has a fixed yoke, if i remember from a big 80s chevy dual driveshaft truck. Anyways, my question is, can i find a driveshaft with a slipyoke in it to allow for back and forthemovement. The rearend is a ford nine inch, fixed as well. I know I will have to get some custom shortening or lengthing done, but are there any 4x4s that come with something I can start with? From the other side, how hard will it be to switch the tail of the fixed yoke to a moveable? thanks for any help at all!!!
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
