    4L80E trans

I just got myself a 4L80E trans to go behind the blown 392.
I will put a stage 3 shiftkit in it to get full manual shift.
There is pushbuton gearselector in the car now.
I don't want a steeringcolumshifter or floorshifter in it.
Is there a way to use solenoids that makes me able to shift with two pushbutons
1 for upshift and 1 for down.

    thans for any advice Remco

    shifter

If you have the shop capabilities you could make a ratchet wheel worked in both directions with two solinoides. You'd want indicator lights so you'd know where your at. I think you would have an original there. What did Ramblers (1960) use with there bush buttom trans. I think a cable. Good luck

    the ratchet wheel won't work.
    this becouse the shift patern.
    p-r-n-d-3-2-1
It could work with a reverse shift patern
    p-r-n-1-2-3-d
But that is not possible with a 4L80E.
Now I think of using a stepping motor.
to create the revese shift patern.
