i have a 700-R4 or a 4L60 idk which and ive been told theyre different.
anyways OD and D are gone and i was wondering if rebuilding the trans would fix that
AND how hard is it to rebuild a trans and is it worth it or should i just find a new trans/

well if it doesn't go at all its almost certain to need an overhaul...if it doesn't move you can be sure that something is broken or burnt up inside so count on having to replace parts.
As to if it is worth it...well thats your decision really.
Which do you consider the better deal?
A) Have a nice trans that will last a long time or B) keep buying used trans that could or could not last for a long time and just keep replacing them when they go bad?
Personally i'd go with choice A because when u just go find a trans and throw it in, you have no idea if it even works let alone how long its going to work for if it does....
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
