    Question 283 flywheel swap question

I'm swapping a 283 for a 235-6 in my '58 Chevy truck. I want to keep the original 3 on the tree. I have a 55-59 V8 truck bellhousing with bellhousing mounted starter. My question is which flywheels will work with this swap?

I'd like to go with an 11" clutch, I think. I just want to make sure that whatever I use will mate with starter/bellhousing combination that I have.

You shouldn't have a problem with the flywheel and at the some time I'd trade out the old rock chrusher tranny for an all synchro '60's three speed.

I guess I'm just wondering what years/applications will work that have the correct number of teeth and are the correct diameter to work with my starter. Any idea? Anybody have what I'm looking for?

I think that you will have to run with a 10.5 flywheel because 283's have the 153 tooth flywheel im not 100% postive but thats what ive been told
