    Engine to 350 tranny swap

Need help on engine to 350 transmission swaps. Does anybody make adaptors to mate the quad 4 to a 350? Does anybody make adaptors to mate the 3.4L Z34 Chev engine to a 350

    I don't think anybody makes an adapter to put a z34 on a th350, but I am pretty sure you can get a 700r4 out of a s-10 with a 2.8 or the 3.4.

Yes, and the reason why is because the block is too narrow for a standard bellhousing as it has only 60 degrees of opposition between the cylinders. GM made special versions of the th200r4 and the 700r4 for these engines. So, no I don't think you can get a th350/400 to bolt up, but there are rear wheel drive transmissions that will. If you want a th350 because you don't want overdrive, you may want to go with a manual. S-10's are available with I think a borg-warner t5, so you could take the bellhousing and I think a borg-warner super t10 will fit.

Maybe I'm not clear on the 3.4 Chevy engine. The 3.4 engine I'm talking about is the all aluminum V-6 patterned after the Northstar of Aurora engine. I hope this clarifies the 3.4 engine I'm talking about.

Overhead Cam? Anyways, FWD cars use a standard 200r4 or 700r4, but have a chain drive to the torque converter, so, you may be lucky and either of the two transmissions may still bolt up. The old FWD Caddies used a chain drivien transversely mounted th400 (which became the th475) on their 500 inch motor, so, I think the situation will be similar here.
