    Question TH350 Trouble

Has any one ever seen the transmission fluid coming back out the top of the dip stick tube?
A little history: The transmission started leaking fluid when it sits for a while. Some times it will engage after adding fluid and some times it want. Yesterday I try adding fluid but it would not go in, after I put the dip stick back in and pulled it out the fluid went down. I drove the truck a few yards and stopped the fluid was pouring back out the top of the dip stick tube. At first we thought the strainer was stopped up, but it looked fine, but we changed it any way. Do you have any suggestions?

make sure the breather tube is not stopped up, its on top of the trans. if its not stopped up and the filter is ok then its a internal leak.

    transmission breather

I had a similar situation and found an insect had decided that the breather tube was a place she could use to deposit eggs. After I cleared the insect debris from the tube the problem went away. Also if the anti bleedback valve in the converter is not sealing well you will get fluid migrating into the oil pan resulting in an over filled condition that goes away when you start the engine so the pump can return things to normal.
    Good luck!
Buy a Buick, they got plenty power!
