    Unhappy transmission trouble

i have a 1996 dodge 1500 4x4.just put new 5.9 motor in it.drove good for 3 months, driving home yesterday, stopped at stop sign would not move when i pressed the accelerater, there was no bang ding or any noise,no slippage, could this be a sensor or torgue converter.it cranks fine, even acts like it wants to move.any feedback would be gratefull, thank you

for starters have you checked the fluid level, and if so is it a nice red color? when you stopped at the stop sign did the truck remain in drive at all times? i hate to say it but dodge has had a few problems with thier trannys in the trucks of the 90's usually early on it the trucks life though. anyway start from the fluid and move on from there.

Could be a broken flex plate, but you should have heard something if that was the case. Unless the radio was cranked way up.
