Thread: Squeek from TH400

Cruising around 35mph....ratchet back to 2nd gear and punch it....let off the gas just as you ratchet back into 3rd and when the tranny hits third there is a squeek...rubber sounding....like the end of a burn out at the drags strip when the tires grab and you hear that screech/squeek?

If I just keep on the throttle, not even that hard, it doesnt happen. Oh, also happens 1st to 2nd.

Not to fresh on the ins/outs of the TH400....any ideas?

Hah!...right...hard to contain all that power I have under the hood...

This is hard to do but I will try....the squeek is more like "eeeee" like a basket ball players sneaker on the basket ball court....and not like the "RRRRRRR" like a decent sized tire smoking the asphalt....now if the asphalt were real smooth (like the launch pad at a drag strip) the squeek would be higher pitched like the first example.... I think I have more problems than just my car

Thanks Denny, I'll give it another visual...I guess I could just keep my foot in the throttle. It (noise) doesnt happen if I drive like that...
