well i had my transmission rebuilt (th400) and when it was done i had to rev the motor to go in reverse then it slammed into gear. so i drove it in to where it was rebuilt since it didnt do this in drive or any of the other gears. i had to take it in anyways to make sure the adjustment was right for warranty purposes. then the guy kept the vehicle to check things over and he said that when i made my adjustments that reverse and park were out of adjustment and that i need a new shifter. i currently have a b&m mega shifter know if u know how one of thses work then you would think how can all this be. well at least me anyways. but the cable just before it goes in through the floor board into the truck the plastic protective coating is breaking away from the cable would this have any affect on the adjustment or do these kind of shifters have away to adjust to every gear. hope this makes sense . i hope someone can help cause i have a car show next monday that i preregistered and payed for thanks in advance
