Thread: T350 kick down cable?

Hi all , I was just wondering with a turbo 350 tranny doi need to hook up the kick down cable? is it just for the passing gear?will the tranny shift with out it?

I was told i did not need it, it was only for kicking down to passing gear i did not know it would affect the way it shifts also i bought a lokar cable but did not put it in. i'll install it. i don't want to damage anything.

Thanks Denny.i'm going to take your advice. I don't need any more headaches. This car is enough all by itself..

i do not have my kickdown hooked up. changed the cable and everything when i installed the shift kit. it always stuck on my edelbrock 650cfm. never had a problem with shifting since i put in the kit.
