No Flywheel For '71 460!? Wtf
i have an '84 f250 with a 460 ... i did not swap the engine, i bought the truck as is. i have been working on the clutch for about a week now and i am held up with the flywheel(i have akready gone threough 3). i am guessing since the engine is out of a lincoln and they dont make manuel trans lincolns that is why i cant find a flywheel for it. i am now to the point where i am just going to use the old flywheel and get it drilled to fit my new pressure plate. does that sound alright to evryone? if anybody has any suggestions please let me know

Which balance is your engine....? Internal or external ?
External has the hatchet weight on the front, internal balance just has a harmonic dampner on the front.
Determine which balance the engine is and get the appropriate balance flywheel ,by flywheel type ,not year and model is going to be the best info I can supply, others may know better specs or part numbers.
I would think you could get a clutch for the flywheel you have, unless there is some home brewed engineering already done and thats why you can not find one to fit ?????.........Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)
