th400 vs 350 size
Just wondering off hand is a turbo 400 tranny physically bigger than a turbo 350? Just getting a little tight for my foot controls and steering column on mt '27 T build.
Thanks,
Sean.

Thanks Tango that answers my question. Looks like I'd only get about 3/8" /side with a swap. Just gonna have to get creative I guess. Maybe I could notch out that bellhousing a bit!!

Your running a SB Chevy so that 350 Trans will be ok . And you car is light . My friend had a V8 Vega . He ran a TH400 with the stock floor . But we had to cut off the ears of that 400 trans . And it was a tight fit

do you folks build your stuff with everything down the center of the frame .. what if you scooted everything over an inch to the right .. doesnt the factory do that to counterbalance driver weight ..iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
