c4/6 convertig to aod w ford fe is easier
I recently did alot of work on that nice monterey of mine! woooooo!P1000811.JPG
It was much easier than I thought it would be. thetransmission adapter goes on easy, snugs down smooth, there really wasnt a difficult part through the whole procedure.
As far as putting the aod in..... dont let anyone tell you you need a differant crossmember until you see it for yourselves! all I HAD to do was move it back a way. Went so smoothly. when you get to the part on the that the member is supported by you have to grind it out so that the member can go just a little more back than that. The only probs are yokes a,d driveshafter lengths. Dont have the specs on what i need to finish that at the moment, woulda been but something wasbugging me and want to do it the right way. I'll get pics up soon! Im putting this in here because I think its a crime to leave an fe mated to a c4/6. Get that overdrive, its good to have. Well thats why this is in the FE forum. more pics to come soon"Caffeine is the glue that holds my macaroni picture together, nicotine is the magnet that holds it all up on the fridge."
