    Release Bearing

I have worked with mechanical clutch linkage. but never with hydrolic as in Master/slave. Does the throwout bearing always ride the clutch fingers? Or am I getting too modern for myself?
The master/slave and bellhousig are off a 86 Chevy C10 going into a 55Willys PU
