T5
It seems like the more I dig the more I find there is way too many variations on the T5 to keep track of. I did find a junkyard that has 4 cyl Ford T5s on the cheap. What is the difference between the 4 cyl and V8 Ford ones? All I can find is that they are different?

Thanks. I found a junkyard with some very inexpensive 4 banger T5s and I was going to build an adapter plate anyway. Maybe I will go measure one out.

In a light car and not a lot of powershifts with slicks on, the lighter 5 speeds hold up surprisingly well..... And, as cheap as they are just by 3 and when they all break you'll have parts to build one, and lots of spares!!!!! Build a little slip into the clutch like with a stock type clutch disc and it should work ok as long as the tranny is in good condition to start with....
The lighter units won't stand up to much drag racing, but for just street use they work good.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I am running a basically stock 260 and can get those T5s for $75 per, maybe less if I bargain on several.
