Dave, these seem to be excellent transmissions and came in a number of cars including Camaros, Firebirds, GTOs, Cadillac CTS-V (Yes Cadillac!) and also Dodge Vipers. So you can find them in wrecking yards if you don't want to spring for a new one. A friend of mine has one in his 68 Camaro with the new LS7. He gets 20+ MPG on the highway with it, plus has a great time with those nice low gears.
PatOf course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Thanks for the link, Pat. Got to do some studying on that one! Looks like these guys have their poop in a group for us shifty types!!!!! The torque capability is a concern, not so much on this engine, but i want a streetable six speed in the Ranchero, too... Having that double overdrive lets me go play in traffic, and still have some good deep gears for a bit of Saturday night action downtown..... Yur the best!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
