1981 Camaro what 4sp is it?
Someone local is selling a 1981 Camaro 350 with 4sp. Which model 4sp would this be? I was thinking of buying the car and put the 4sp into my 1988 9c1 Caprice police car with 454.

That will be a saginaw transmission, uses the same driveshaft and yoke as the 350 turbo.. You'll need a diifferent flywheel for the 454.

i know they made t-10's as late as 79 so im thinking 80-81 would of had them to? because didnt they have t-10's until they started to put t-5 5 speeds in them? easiest way tot ell, take a small magnet with you if it sticks to the otuside case its a saggy it it dont its a t-10 or muncie.

Yes, I have hopes it's a T-10. Is there a T-10 and a Super T-10, or are they all the same/ I'll google it, just haven't had a chance yet.

You might be in luck..Hollander lists it as a borg warner unit..The last year for the saginaw was 1980.. Then they brought it back in 82...Imagine that..Last edited by Daffy427; 09-14-2008 at 05:42 PM.

Does a 1985 Camaro T-85 transmission have the same dimentions as a Muncie. In other words could the Muncie be exchanged for the T-85 and the trans mount and drive shaft fit without modification ?
You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
