Glide Question
I have a Powerglide with the numbers C191 above 37890112 on the face inside the bellhousing. GM 28 is also cast there. On the tailshaft is 3987988. The case is aluminum. Any idea of what car and year this would be? This used trans may be a good opportunity to do some learning. Any publications or dvds of any use for a first time rebuilder? Thanks, Rad

Danchuk has produced a cast iron 'glide video. You might call them and ask about other videos they may have produced...

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
