700 R4 tv cable bracket on a carb???

I know that this has been talked about before and i have been searching
    but come up with O

what i have is a 47 ford sedan delivery with a vortech 350 and a 700r4 trans. i converted the engine to a eldebrock intake and a 600cfm carb. and now can't find a tv cable bracket, checked lokar,mr gasket and trans dapt.

Is there a bracket out there that you can hook a tv cable to on a carbureted 350 s/b chev. i have found stuff for 350 trans but no 700R4s???

    Help !
and thanks for for putting up with a dummy

i went to a autozone and found the part # you suggested, did you use an after market tv cable ? I carried my new gm cable with me and the square hole where it anchors in the bracket is much smaller on the bracket than the square part of the cable, and even if i were to grind the hole in the bracket out larger it would not be and amount of metal left to support the cable.

went to bowtie.com and they have a kit, its right at $120.00, was hoping to
    get out a little cheaper.

thanks again for all you guys help, still stumped for now.

Bear in mind that it's not just the bracket. Most of the kits have an adaptor that bolts to the carb to make sure the geometry is correct.

    Check this page: http://www.compperformancegroupstore...ct_Code=376705

I can't believe the price TCI gets for these two parts.

Caveat: I haven't used the TCI parts. I have the Bowtie Overdrives setup. It works great.

Lokar also has a setup, but I prefer the full carburetor plate to the one-hole mount with a tension screw.

I know this is an old post - but I have tried Lokar bracket that mts on manifold and the EDL two pc bracket. Both would need modifying. I see the Bowtie Overdive parts look like what I have now. Problem : the EDL 600 carb hangs out almost to the valve cover. The brackets are 1" inward from for vlv cover so cable pulls at an angle. I can bend the EDL 2 pc bracket out to line up with the carb but now I can not get the vlv cvr off without bending back or taking brkt on and off.

When I did mine, I found a web page that described the geometry. There are two, perhaps three variables. First, the distance from the center of rotation of the butterfly shaft to the cable attachment. Second, the angle of the total cable pull for the TV cable.....the angle is a function of the distance so both must be right. Third, the relative position of the adjustment block relative to the butterfly shaft.

here is the way one guy did it:
