The 385 series(429 460) bbf motors used c6s. Lincolns etc...
Don't know much about the FE's, but try fordtruckenthusiasts.com web site. They have a whole area just for the FE." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

FE's are a different bellhousing. There are c-6's for FE's and 400/429/460 don't
bolt on FE's. I think there was a Thunderbolt with a C-6 also. I know nothing
about small block C-6'sA Ranchero is NOT an El Camino

FE's in the early '60's had FMX automatics, good trans but cast iron, damn heavy!

Actually 59 of the 100 original T bolts came with a automatic trans. Most of them were converted to 4 speeds. The MX automatic was used in those. FMX didn't come out till 68. Before that the FX trans was in service.Last edited by FFR428; 09-04-2009 at 01:17 PM.

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
