Thanks for asking this question, I'm about a week away from ordering one for the sbf I'm building and am on the fence between the two. I've never used roller, only bushings, but if they are better I will order one of those. Do you periodically have to go back in and grease the roller ones?

solid bronze work very good and there cheap .roller s can be hard to start in the crank and driving then in can be hard on them. they are not oilite bronze that has oil in it so it never will dry out in turn to dust like the roller can.if theres any run out the bronze will take more of the load. then rollers will .this is how i see it any ways i just put a roller in a engine customer wanted it .just to take it back out to put a bronze one in .the roller pilot just did not look right had abit of a small hi spot when done.i did not feel that the input of the trans was going to like that so it came out. there is a nother thing the bronze will not hurt the in put like a roller can if it would go south .Irish Diplomacy ..the ability to tell someone to go to Hell ,,So that they will look forward to to the trip

Good enough for me. Looks like I stick to the old bronze ones. Thanks Pat.

You're welcome Mike, glad it worked out for you. Roger, it's taken a few years but my inventory of excess parts has shrunk a fair bit from 1 1/2 garage stalls to about an eight by eight space. ...
