700r4 Constant pressure valve body
I Purchased an TCI constant pressure valve body for the 700r4. I am looking for real world experiences as far as to what you set it up as. Ex. firm, street strip, Taxi/cop car feel,( not that I would know how a cop car feels) 2900 lb car here, I am looking for crisp and quick, not harsh as I run a jag rear and there is just to many moving parts to beat on all the time. PS got to find my installation instructions as they have names for the different shift programing.

1gary will do, as soon as I can make an informed decision as to the real world shift programing I will install and post my results. I have also installed a trans pressure gauge and will be installing a temperature gauge as soon as I drop the pan.I just don't want to go back and reprogram If I can avoid it.

TCI 700R4 Leaky Blues
I purchased, 1 year ago, Cash, a SSF 700R4 with the High Stall TC to go with, probably paid close to $5000 with all the bells and whistles, thinking to myself....yah, TCI "quality controls" their products...ok, so, GM Dealership, certified mechanic installs a brand new ZZ4 Crate Engine, along with Brand New TCI Tranny, and Brand New Rear, Brand New Exhaust Front to rear Dual with H-Pipe, and the very first day I drove it home....Leak Tranny pissing fluid all over hells creation...great, BP would be proud of me, Thanks.
Who is to blame?
I called GM told them my prob, they said, well, just tighten the oil pan bolts a little tighter...I couldn't believe the advise I was getting...2500 miles later, tranny is fried, no forward gears no reverse...
Brought back to GM after fighting with them for 4 mnths, they said they would look at it...took the tranny apart, said they couldn't find anything wrong with it....put it back together, reinstalled it...
I have been driving it for maybe 1000 miles, and it is leaking again.
I have called TCI and wrote TCI about my probs, but they say it is not their problem...
GM tells me it is not their problem....
Looks like I got snookered again.... Paid Cash for something with your hard earned money, I don't make a lot of money so I waited a long time to get the tranny/engine/rear combo I wanted....
GMC I am pissed off at, and TCI has not really been honourable either...
Save your money and aggrivation, go buy your Transmission Somewhere else...
I think there is one called a "RAPTOR" same tranny, but even better....
Oh, and don't get GM to do any work on your vehicle...go to Local Mechanics
