Yes I have. Just went thru that. I thought it was engine as it had been rebuilt with new TRW pistons and I just assumed they were way out of match. I got another torque converter from a guy, because I thought it would give me more stall. It did but only about 150 RPM. But vibration went away. Now it's smooth as silk. Mine was Boss Hog, Nightstalker.

This is just a plane Jane 700r4 rebuild, came with The converter. Its done it since day one, I pulled the inspection cover bolts are tight, no visible cracks in flex plate, I'll just pull it and get another converter. I can hear my buddy now, Yea ya get what ya pay for, as he tightens the last bolt on the reinstall. LOL

One thing you can try is to re-index the convertor. Mark the convertor/flywheel together as a starting index, remove all the bolts and rotate the convertor to the next convertor/flywheel alignment and reinstall the bolts. You may need to rotate/re-index the convertor to the third position. Sometimes the proccess works, sometimes it doesn't - but it's worth a shot. D
