Turbo 350 to 400 swap
Anybody know if they use the same rear spline? Rear mount locations the same? Overall length? Buddy has a pretty weak 350 and found a 400 with next to no miles and wants to swap.
Thanks guys.

400 is longer and uses a different yoke.
It's not a bolt in, but in most cases it's a fairly easy swap.
What is it in?Buying parts I don't need, with money I don't have, to impress people I don't like

Different yoke, defferent length,(depending on the 350 used),usually different flex plate, and mount is usually in a different location.

Some of the O.E.M. 350/400 vehicles had multi cross member hole locations on the frame to move back the tranny cross member and mount.Good Bye

Went from turbo 350 to a turbo 400. Frame was already drilled for both so just moved the crossmember back 6 inches to the other holes.
If yours isn't drilled it's a very simple fix.
