    hello, any help is greatly appreciated. ok mild 350 about 375hp and heres the problem. its a th350 with a 3200 stahl, i started having a problem when it shifted into 3rd 1 day and when i hit the gas it just rev'ed up, n no load to the ground. it shifts into every gear just fine, 1st n 2ns gear seem to b just fine, i was at a dead stop the other day had it in first and hit the gas(softly) and it rev'd up to about 1100rpm then boom it left. the fluid isnt burnt, and doesnt have foam in it, how do i know if the TQ converter is going??? does it sound like the clutch packs?? any help is awsome!!!!

    sounds as if ur most likely culprit is the clutch n drum system of the trans, sounds as if ur gettin intermittent line pressure thru ur valve body....line pressure is what causes ur clutch packs in an auto trans to lock up, low or intermittent pressure will not allow the drums to lock up properly or at all in the absence of same.
    if this was not a NEW tran, or was a rebuild, i suggest u have it redone, most likely there is gum and or varnish somewhere in the trans that is corrupting proper line pressure....BTW a 350 engine makin 375hp is NOT a mild engine, mild is AT OR BELOW 1hp per cube....LOL...but keep the mild attitude about it, that way ur always encouraged to seek even more power...
