I think this might be related to this thread.

I've watched your builds with interest every since I saw Project 3k and the only time I've seen you break your word was when you said you were going to do something cheap or half-way. Not a bad record in my opinion.
I'm sure there are a lot of lurkers like me who don't say much but enjoy your threads and your rods (even the cat pictures) more than you know. Thanks for putting it in writing for all of us to enjoy.
Congratulations to you and Dan on the well deserved win at BilletProof. I'm always blown away by what you and your sons do, and I'm glad to see that even among other rodders you guys get the praise you deserve.

Bob, that was a surreal moment when they gave him those trophies. He was in shock and I was beside myself with pride and gratitude for the Biletproof folks choosing his car. I watched Dan grow as a car builder while building this one, and questioned his decisions sometimes, especially when he cut up almost complete cars because he "didn't like what he had built." But in the end, I guess he was right. Thanks for posting that picture, and for the nice words you always posted on his build thread on the HAMB.......those were appreciated.
Mark, thank you very much. A man has to know his limitations, and I realize I am a hack compared to so many other car guys out there, lots of them right here on CHR. Having those people as bar setters makes the entire hobby better as it makes us want to spend a minute or two more making that bracket so it turns out nicer. Plus, we know when we post a picture of it 10,000 eyes will be looking at it and will be only too happy to tell us the good, and the bad. When Al Gore started talking about the Internet Highway, I couldn't imagine what the h*** he was talking about, but it really has influenced our lives and given us car lovers a world we never knew existed before. How did we ever get along without it?
Here is one last picture of Dan with his car and trophies. The guys who labored to build these beautiful awards did it at their own expense and created some real works of art. Dan will cherish his forever.

You know Don, it doesn't surprise me a bit that the truck won. The quality of the build can be seen even with crappy internet pictures that distort colors so that pink and purple look the same and Bob's goddesses don't really look like the goddesses he thinks they are.

Okay, one more time! Just like I acquired that picture of Pops and Son above from one of my sources, the "lovely" ladies of Pops I post are HIS that I merely came into possession of.

Thank you, Kurt and Rick. Rick, (me saying this VERY quietly) we don't talk in front of Bob about the girls he posts........poor guy just has such bad eyesight.
Bob, oh sure, Buddy, those were great looking girls you put up, thanks for doing that. I think you have posted enough of them for a while, so no need to do it any more.
(God, I hope he takes the hint! )

A "skip" = a dumpster.... but he says it's proper english??? Oh.. Okay. Most of us can see the dating site pun, "matching" with an arsonist.. But a "SKIP? How is that a box? It must all be...
