Transmission for High Effort application
Been doing research for new ground up build but need a bit of direction regarding manual transmissions. Basically what I'm building is a twin turbo, fuel injected, 410 cu. in. SBC with estimated H.P. in the 1300+ range. Estimated final vehicle weight should be around 2800 to 3000 lbs. Don't see the need for more than a 4 speed manual trans.
Will be using for limited road racing and occasional street fun.
Been out of the sceen for 29 years now and am at a loss where to start to look.
Who out there in the industry is making a good solid manual transmissions for this level of H.P.?

Talk to Mike Forte at Forte Performance about a TKO application. Forte's Parts Connection - TREMEC, FACTORY FIVE COBRA PARTS, FORD RACING PARTS, FFR, MUSTANG, TRANSMISSIONS, T-56, T-5, TKO, TR-3550 Not sure the TKO can handle that HP, but then again, are you really going to be in that HP range?? 1300 is huge for a streetable application.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

If you're serious about the power, then you'll need something like G-Force, Jericho, Liberty, Tex Racing. All will custom build a transmission with the ratio's and other options you want.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
