please help me identify my transmission

for Bulk Part – Welcome to Bulkpart Transmission Parts and Transmission Coolers

they have a kit for me, but They cannot tell me which one, and I have no idea.

    I have a 1965 LTD 352 engine, fordomatic transmission.

these are the choices I have :

, Ford - rear wheel drive, Bulkpart transmission parts

I think it is a cast iron case, but their is a choice there as well.

Not exactly sure what you are asking, but the transmission in that car should have been a Cruisamatic.

I am trying to figure out which seal kit to order from bulk parts.

is the fordomatic the same as a cruisomatic? mine has two "drive" selections.

Would you order parts and have your only car down for at least a week.......

on a stranger telling you what "should" be in the car?

The other link did not even mention three sizes of cruisomatics.

I appreciate the help, but I can do an unsuccessful web search without help

what I need is verifiable proof, like measurements.

Then YOU have to be more spacifick.
Because a 289 is a small block motor and a 352 is a big block motor
and the trany's won't inter change, The 390 is also a big block.

came from one of the links provided by a helpful member. The word SHOULD scares me.

The bell housing on these transmissions comes off, so the same trans could easily be on both 289 and or 352.

I am down to figuring out if it has a 9 7/8" case, or a 10 1/4" case. I will figure this out, and put it on this post for the next dummy like me.

Thank you guys for all of the help.

If the trans' are different why not go to your parts store order the rear seal for each then the one that is right would be the trans you have..Then you would know.

Do you have a picture of the trany pan from the bottom.
I had a C - 4 in my 1965 Ranchero with the removable bell housing but it would not fit a 352 but it will a 351 Cleveland and a 351 Windsor.
    I would not put a C - 4 behind a big block motor.
I would use either a FMX or a C - 6. or even a Manual for the fun factor.

Isn't there any numbers on the trans that can be looked up? I know you can on manual transmissions but maybe not on auto's?

    Just a thought.
