Is the 200 4r strong enough?
I have a 1970 Impala, 383 at about 410hp and the same torque. Running a th 350 with 3:55 gears. Im at 3000 rpm at 60 mph. Trying to loose some rpms at highway speed. I thought about gear vendors and a 700 r4 but thought because the 2004r is an exact swap it just makes sense. But is it strong enough? Dose anybody have any input. Thanks in advance, Trainor

I believe it is an overdrive system.

Several people think so - not least of which is Art Carr. He builds these transmissions for upwards of 750 horse. Be reasonable with the pedal, your'e probably ok.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
