Rebuilding a 400 turbo and have a problem. I'm no auto trans expert, just doing this for myself. Behind the direct drum I had 1 of the thick steels broke in 4 pieces, removed it and pulled the clutches out. The lower thick steel won't come out. Right below it is a snap ring I need to get to, to finish disassembly. Any of you trans guys ever seen this, and do you know what broke the front one? I have a rebuild kit, but it has none of the steels in it.
