    No o/d in a AOD

Have a 89 AOD that lost o/d and the 2nd to 3rd shift has changed so is this a converter issue or is the trans about out.

Clip holding the TV cable broke and who knows how long it was driven like that so probably the trans is toast, going to replace the clip ands see how hit does and then if ok will change fluid.

The TV cable is critical as I'm certain you're aware.. if the fluid looks the slightest off color, it's toast.

And the change of shifts would tell me it's lunching on the clutches.. Drop the pan and see what the bottom holds.
Supposedly it only takes minutes without the TV cable and it'll overheat and fry the clutches.
There's a couple good sites I frequent that I can share if you'd like.. just ask.

No doubt you probably fried the 3-4 clutch pack you are talking rebuild time you might want hang out here for a while: Click Click Racing Silverfox the founder offers upgraded valve bodies that are constant pressure units so that can't happen in the future. He has added some features the TCI units lack.
