    700R4 question

ok, i got ur average 700-R4 tranny, im thinkin about puttin a B+M transpack kit in it, and i was wondering if this is a good idea or if i should just leave it alone? i really want some better shifts and if anyone has put one of these kits in, let me know, how hard was it? how long did it take? im going to get the kit on 7/28 so some help asap would be greatly appreciated, thanks everyone!

I've installed them in a few differant tranys. It's not hard if you have the trany out of the car. You'll want to remove the valve body from the trany. So that you can install the new plate and bearings alot easier, Plus after you drill the valve body you'll want to clean it up real good and get all the metal shavings out of it. There pretty simpal and should only take about a half hour if you have the trany out.

if it were my car i would use these items

    1.trans go jr shift kit
    2.093 2-4 servo
    3..500 boost vavle

if you pull it out there is alot more you can update.

if its in the car all your doing is dropping the valvebody and plate.
you will also have to drop the pressure regulator and spring out of the pump.

simple task if your not afraid to try.'

just make sure you put the check balls back into the right bathtubs and your valvebody gaskets are the same as the ones you will replace.

oh the reason i recommend transgo is they actually fix common problems in the valvetrain and not just give you a neck snapping shift like B&M
