350 Trans leak
Is there any way to stop a TH350 trans from leaking around the speedo gear? I just had the trans done less than 400 miles ago. It leaked just after that and I changed the gear,o-ring again and it still leaks. Thanks for the help!

Sounds to me like you have a burr on the cable itself. or the tranny housing. Run your finger around the grooves where it connects to the cable. if there are any nicks or burrs there, file off the burs and fill the nics. JB weld is good for filling.Right engine, Wrong Wheels

Sounds like a bad rebuild, take it back and have them look at it, it should not be leaking from anywhere with that little on the rebuild.1949 Plymouth Club Coupe Still in pieces.

350 Trans Leak
Thanks, I will check that out. I'll try anything to get this leak stopped! Nothing worse than having a great looking car leaking all over the floor.

I took it back and he changed out the gear and o-ring. Then two days later it was leaking again. He said that was the fix.

Check the lip type seal that the plastic gear slides thru, it's held in by a circle clip.TEAMWORK is essential, it allows you to blame someone else!
