dumb bellhousing question
I got a bellhousing off ebay and the bottom of it wouldn't clear my 168t flywheel.
Is the flywheel the important factor when choosing a bell? Also, I noticed that the bolt patter on most bells goes all the way around it, but on the engine only the top half has a bolt up surface.
Does the bottom of the bell actually bolt to anything?
If the bell goes all the way around, how can you inspect the clutch?

If I find a bell with the wrong size center opening can it be modified?
