    Project Chevelle Seats

This Customer dropped his seats off after getting them done by another shop. He told me that he had rebuilds done and new covers installed. The problem he had was it just wasn't comfortable so after tearing them apart. I found that what was consider a rebuild was a piece of 1/2" foam and some carpet over the springs. The backrest did not have anything done at all but it did have 6 broken springs and some jute padding stuffed under the springs. The covers had several ripps and sewn repairs on them where the installer ripped them when puting them on. At this point I had to tell the customer that everything had to be replace after he'd just payed another shop to get these seats done. I will post some pics for you guys as the project goes on to restore these seats to better than orginal. Just remember that lowest price isn't always best and some shops charge more for a reason.

Wow - unscrupulous people should be exposed. I hope the owner of the seats post's the name of the crook that ripped him off to save the next "customer" the grief (and expense) of having to pay twice!
